Hi! I’m Christina Zarba, and I’m thrilled to be part of your child’s learning journey. With a Ms.ED in education specializing in both general and special education for grades P through 6, I bring over 8 years of experience working in NYC public schools. Throughout this time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students in diverse settings such as 12:1:1, ICT, and District 75 programs, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each learner.

In addition to my professional experience, I am also a mom of four wonderful children, ages 15 to 3 years old. I understand the joys and challenges of parenting firsthand, especially as I have a child with a disability. This personal journey has deepened my empathy and commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive and shine!

Growing up in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx, I have a deep connection to our community and a strong understanding of the challenges and strengths families here face. This background fuels my commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment, supported by my CPR and First Aid certifications. To further enrich my teaching style, I am currently pursuing Montessori education certification, aiming to bring even more creative, hands-on learning experiences to the classroom.

My experience includes working with students who have ADHD, Autism, and Intellectual Disabilities. I am passionate about helping every child thrive by adapting instruction to highlight their individual strengths and support their unique needs. Beyond the classroom, I am a dedicated advocate for students with diverse learning profiles, guiding families through the special education system to ensure their children receive the services and support they truly deserve.
